Gal Gadot Speaks About Imagine Controversy, Says ‘It Wasn't The Right Timing, And It Wasn't The Right Thing. It Was In Poor Taste’
Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot in a recent interview with InStyle admitted that her tone-deaf Imagine video was in poor taste. The Wonder Woman actress was seen along with Kristen Wiig, Sarah Silverman, Natalie Portman, Will Ferrell, Jimmy Fallon, Sia, and Norah Jones, crooning John Lennon classic in the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. The actress told the publication, “I don't take myself too seriously. And with the whole 'Imagine' controversy, it's funny. I was calling Kristen [Wiig] and I was like, 'Listen, I want to do this thing.”

She added, “The pandemic was in Europe and Israel before it came here [to the U.S.] in the same way. I was seeing where everything was headed. She a But [the video] was premature. It wasn't the right timing, and it wasn't the right thing. It was in poor taste. All pure intentions, but sometimes you don't hit the bull's-eye, right?” This post was penned by the actress on March 18, 2020, where each of them crooned a line from ‘Imagine’. Further, the actress shared that was feeling a bit philosophical when she was on the sixth day of her self-quarantine period.  

This video clip drew a lot of attention and got the celebs slammed. In an Instagram video she said, “This virus has affected the entire world. Everyone. Doesn't matter who you are, where you're from. We're all [in] this together.”


Also, the actress happened to break into ‘Imagine’ at Elle Women in Hollywood awards held in October. She was heard saying, “Might as well. They had a mic there.
